Go Indie at Up To The Sky Festival!

Ahhh, just what we need to perk our indie spirits up before 2011 comes to a close.

Get some musiclove at Up To The Sky Festival – an indie music & video festival.

Happening on Saturday, 3 December 2011, they’ve got a droolsome line-up of bands to keep your feet moving and your ears satisfied!

Deerhoof‘s coming. The Trees and The Wild‘s playing. (pictured below)

The Great Spy Experiment (who hasn’t played for any local gigs in a while mind you) is performing .

(The White Shoes and The Couples Company )

(The Cambodian Space Project)

You’ll also be captivated by the cool sounds of The White Shoes and The Couples Company, Muon, (the talented) Bani Haykal, The Cambodian Space Project and plenty more quirkily awesome bands.

Oh & did we mention that they have video screenings and an art exhibition to accompany the good music they’re showcasing?

Let me break it down for you. Up To The Sky Festival = 12 hours of music + video + a dollop of art.  All in one day.

All that’s missing is your cool hipster-ish get-up & a bunch of good friends to chill with & enjoy the festival together and you’re  good to go!

You should know that this could be one of the last few shindigs happening at Old School because if you haven’t heard, the whole building’s closing down for re-development (BOO HOO!). All the more reason we should go revel in  that area while it’s still around.

So yes, get set for some aural & visual therapy. This makes for a pretty great start to the whole end-of-year celebration, we say!
