Are you still wondering what to do this school holidays? Or where to take the kids because they can’t stop whining at home? Or how to plow the technology out of their hands for a day?
Come, check out Explore Singapore 2011 and the many many activities they’ve lined up for you.
Yes, we might be highlighting this a bit late (we’re sorry, we’ve been busy bees!) but there are still plenty of good stuffs lined up this weekend!
Like Asian Civilisations Museum‘s Great Great Weekend for one.
Or the Open House at Singapore Art Museum with Amanda Heng.
The common theme for this event is of course – Singapore’s rich ol’ heritage! Essentially, Explore Singapore 2011: Heritage Hopabout is all about discovering Singapore not just through pictures or books but really immersing yourself in rich activities and meet knowledgeable people who will share with you all the juicy stuffs.
And it’s not just for those with ka-ching – most of the activities are free. What’s awesome is the activities are not just for families, it’s basically for anyONE!
We managed to meet up with the ambassadors of Explore Singapore, Mark Lee & Suhaimi Yusof, who emphasized on the valuable lessons we all can learn from Singapore’s heritage and history (like the way migrants from different countries & cultures could set up religious monuments right beside each other [read: Telok Ayer Street]).
They also made us laugh with their friendly banter and comical speeches but still managed to slip in a couple of pointers on how to enjoy Explore Singapore! – in groups & with lots of enthusiasm.
And they’re right!
Spread the word & bring your friends along.
You have until this weekend to enjoy this made-in-Singapore goodness!
