Jukebox! by CLARQuinet
CLARQuinet is a local clarinet quartet formed in 2007 by Chang Po Liang, Lee Wai Teng, Ralph Lim and Ang Jun Sen. The group performed for the first time back in 2007 during ‘Not So Silent Night (NSSN)’ – an annual concert organized by Victoria Junior College.
Since then, the group has been performing actively at various platforms such as charity project titled “Bask in the Sun”, The Republican Cultural Centre (TRCC) and Artist Academy’s monthly performances.
Like music in a jukebox that brings life to a quiet space, CLARQuinet promises to serenade the audience with their fresh interpretation of tunes ranging from classical, international, ballads to top of the pop.
How it all started…
“We picked up the clarinet when we joined the concert bands in our respective schools. Coming from different schools, it was only through our individual interest in the instrument that our paths crossed.
Since then, making music has become such an integral part of our lives and the joy of performing together has surpassed the reason why we chose to play the clarinet in the first place.” – CLARQuinet
Some of the pieces that they will be performing At the Concourse on these two evenings include Queen of the Night by Mozart, Lady Gaga’s Born This Way, and The Barber of Seville by Rossini.
Time: 7.15pm – 7.45 pm, 8.15pm – 8.45 pm
