Momentum 2011 – Main Showcase
This 90-minutes dance performance embodies Emotions in Motion, aimed at showcasing the best talents in Singapore schools.
It is also a platform for choreographers to feature their exciting and innovative dance pieces. Featuring dance groups from NUS Dance Ensemble, SMU InDanCity, Temasek Polytechnic Dance Ensemble, Dance Spectrum International, Republic Polytechnic Dance Groups and many more.
About Momentum 2011: Dance can be described as a synthesis of music, movement and drama. This poetic expression of creative energies has always been the essence of Momentum, RP’s Dance Festival. In its 4th year, Momentum 2011 aims at promoting dance as a form of expression as well as showcasing the best dance talents to be found in schools and institutions of higher learning in Singapore.
Billed as being youthful, vibrant and daring, the week-long Momentum 2011 resonates with the feelings of today’s youth and celebrates the love and appreciation for dance – from the traditional to the contemporary.
