Imogen Heap – Live In Singapore

The electronic sorceress herself, Imogen Heap, will finally visit Singapore. The tour is part of her current sold out world tour to celebrate the release of her new album “Ellipse” Described by Rolling Stone as “intensely intriguing” and “darkly sensual”, Immi came to the attention of many when her songs were included in various episodes of the The O.C.

The most memorable of which being when her Laurie Anderson-esque track Hide And Seek which was used in the Season 2 finale. Hide And Seek is also sampled heavily in Watcha Say, the recent US #1 by Jason Derulo. Immi’s side project Frou Frou, found popularity somewhat retrospectively when their song Let Go, was featured in Zach Braff’s film Garden State. Her completely unique style of electronic-driven music filled with grace and passion, while loaded with acapella driven hooks and rich vocal layering has seen her nominated for various Grammy Awards.

Project 859

Ever wondered how the rest of Singapore have their Kopi-O every morning? Or who shares that path to work with you?

Project 859 will uncover the similarities we share in our morning routines or travel routes. Together we will realize how many others in this same city, share our lives in different ways at 0859h.

A photography exhibition with a twist! Instead of showcasing works by professional photographers, we want to feature photos that taken by YOU, and all other members of the public. The best part is you don’t need any experience or expensive photography equipment, just a watch, a camera phone or digital camera to take the picture with and a trigger, happy finger!

In the slum in Morro da Sinuca, a couple of days before turning eighteen year-old, Laranjinha tells his best friend and also orphan Acerola that he misses his unknown father.

Acerola decides to help his needy friend to find his father and they discover that he is in prison convicted for killing a man during a robbery and near to be released on parole.

When the owner of the hill and Laranjinha’s cousin Madrugadão is betrayed by his right-hand Nefasto, he is expelled from the slum and Laranjinha and Acerola have  to leave the hill.
