| ACJC Fun-O-Rama XX
Fun-O-Rama XX promises to be the best yet! The much-anticipated biennial food and funfair returns on 27 March 2010 from 9.30 am to 6 pm at ACJC. The event showcases the enterprising and innovative talents of the ACJC students in an astounding variety of food and games stalls, and provides a wonderful opportunity for alumni, friends and supporters of the school to meet and revel in the carnival atmosphere. Fans of Fun-O-Rama can look forward to old favourites like the Cake Stall as well as the updated supermarket, now known as the ‘shopping mall’. The proceeds raised during the funfair will go to the upgrading of college facilities to support future developments in the instructional programme. This will ensure that the education provided in ACJC prepares its students for the future. The ACJC Fun-O-Rama is an event not to be missed. | SWEET CHARITY
Sweet Charity is a smash hit Broadway musical with music by Cy Coleman, lyrics by Dorothy Fields and book by Neil Simon. Set in the 1960’s, Sweet Charity follows the misadventures of love encountered by the gullible and guileless Charity Hope Valentine, a woman who always gives her heart and her dreams to the wrong man. Through song, dance and humor we find Charity most endearing as she remains forever hopeful and pursues her dreams. The Lasalle College of the Arts Production will be directed by Musical Theatre identity Shaun Murphy who has previously directed the much acclaimed Lasalle productions of Once on this Island and Into the Woods. The Musical director is the Musical Theatre Programme leader Tony McGill and Choreographer Fiona Baird. The musical theatre Programme has garnered an extremely strong reputation in Singapore. Sweet Charity will be the inaugural theatrical production in the newly completed Singapore Airlines Theatre at the stunning LASALLE campus. The Sweet Charity cast will feature all Musical Theatre students, two guest artists and three alumni who have returned for this production.
