The Social Theatre with Haresh Sharma
(Resident Playwright of The Necessary Stage)

As part of the Singapore Sun Festival, find out more about theatre & the arts by the bay!This workshop invites Haresh Sharma to speak about the successes of the style of process-based theatre that he has developed with The Necessary Stage. Process-based theatre involves a unique process of working with actors and other artistic collaborators in various stages.

This particular style of theatre has been successful in the cretion of critically acclaimed plays Fundamentally Happy (2007), Good People (2007) and Gemuk Girls (2008). Haresh Sharma won the Best Script Award at the Singapore Life! Theatre Awards for three consecutive years for the trilogy of plays.

About Artsylum Quartet:
Artsylum Quartet has been playing together since their debut performance at the Singapore Chamber Music Festival in 2005 and has been under the tutelage of Mr Leslie Tan of the T’ang Quartet since. Committed to increasing the accessibility of quartet music, Artsylum goes beyond classical quartet works to include among others, jazz, film music, opera classics, popular favourites and Chinese oldies in their repertoire.
