Simply Horns Thru the Ages
Simplyhorns! was formed since November 2009 by a group of passionate friends who delights in exploring and performing music through their choice instrument – the French horn. The group performs in numerous gigs including a bi-annual concert series, featuring solo recitals, duets and various ensemble collaborations to reach out to the general public.
Showing off versatility of the French horn in numerous musical genres, let Simplyhorns! bring you on a musical journey across eras from baroque to pop. Let their passion set you ablaze and inspire you to pick up an instrument of your own regardless whether it’s a brass, wind or string instrument.
How it all started…
“In short, the intriguing snail-like shape of French horn ‘arrested’ all of us and because of her range being the widest and closest sounding to the human voice. Its playability is always challenging yet provides the characteristic timbre that resonates well with our souls. The horn is a treasure to all of us and so far has helped two of us got married with our girlfriends as they were so impressed!” – Simplyhorns!
