Mambo Jambo by Zouk

Calling all Mambo Jambo aficionados! For the first time, Zouk’s popular Wednesday night party will be at the Esplanade! Whether you are a seasoned Mambo Jambo dancer or someone who has never heard of it at all, you’ll love grooving to the rhythms of retro music from the 70’s and 80’s. Joining the party will be finalists of Mambo Jambo Dance-Off 2008 and the recently crowned winners of 2009.

Singapore Shorts (Advisory: Coarse language)

Come take a peek at the future of Singapore theatre! Directed by Jeffrey Tan, this event showcases four plays by four young and upcoming playwrights, Jacke Chye, Leon Lim, Edgar Liao and Yak Aik Wee. You can expect a range of stories, themes and characters close to the hearts of Singaporeans. Mentored by Ovidia Yu, Robert Yeo and Tan Tarn How, these playwrights are recent graduates of the National Arts Council’s Mentor Access Project (MAP). They were also part of TheatreWorks Writers’ Laboratory.

There will be a post-show dialogue after the performance.
