FILM/CHARITY! | Monday, 21 February 2011 | WORTH YOUR MONEY!

YOUF Charity Film Screening

The first ever local independent youth film screening event, YOUF, will take place on Monday, February 21, 2011. The event will benefit The Straits Times Pocket Money Fund (SPMF), which raises money for needy students and will need SGD$5 million to help 12,400 children this year.

Organised by a group of budding young filmmakers, these youngsters have realised that beyond what they have achieved with their talents in film-making , inspiring others and helping less fortunate youths is of greater importance.

Four awarding-winning films from the renowned Ngee Ann Polytechnic School of Film and Media Studies (NP FMS) have been carefully selected by the organizing committee for the charity film screening – “Ah Ma”, “Life with Ummu”, “Yesterday‟s Play” and Dreams. Each film captures the essence and the purpose of the film screening, and portrays youth overcoming various life challenges while pursuing their dreams.
